Advanced Placement (AP) Test

Payment Deadlines
October 27, 2023 - full payment ($98) or deposit due ($40) or free/reduced payment ($20)
 
November 15th, 2023 - students MUST be in the AP Classroom for the test to be ordered
 
November 16th, 2023 - late fee of $40 plus the cost of the test begins
 
February 23rd, 2024 - the remainder of payment if a deposit was made

         AP EXAM - Student Information

When When to Arrive

  • Students with a morning exam need to be at the testing room by 7:45 am. 
  • Students with an afternoon exam on Monday will go to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd periods and then have lunch and will report to the testing room by 12:15.
  • Students with an afternoon exam on a regular schedule will go to 1st & 2nd periods and then have lunch during 3rd period in the cafeteria and will report to the testing room by 11:45.
 

** Teachers will be notified but it is the student's responsibility to get to the correct place at the correct time for the exam.  Once the test begins, no one will be admitted. **

 

What What to Bring to the Test

  • School ID card
  • Sharpened No. 2 pencils (NOT mechanical)
  • Dark blue or black ink pens
  • Calculator for Bio, Calc, Chem, Physics (we will have a school set available but you may bring your own)
  • Layers of comfy clothing (could be hot, could be cold)
  • Water bottle/snack
  • A watch that does not have internet access or make any noise
 

What What NOT to bring to the Test (you can bring it but you will NOT have access to it during the exam - it will be

on the side of the room)

  • Backpacks, notes, folders, books, protractors, compasses, paper, mechanical pencils, white-pout, markers, highlighters, or colored pencils
  • Earplugs, earbuds, or headphones
  • Cell phones, smart watches, personal computers/tablets, fitness trackers cameras, headphones, or recording devices.  This is the official College Board policy - not just Highland rules. 
  • Clothing that has info about the subject you are taking a test for
 

After After the Test

  • Morning testers will have 30 minutes for lunch - the cafeteria will be open and food will be available.  After lunch, students return to their classes.
  • Afternoon testers will be released when the test is over (times will vary).  There is a bus available at 5:30 pm.
