Boosters Overview

**Booster Clubs are formed to coordinate events, contribute money, and to support associated clubs, sports teams or other organizations. At Highland the clubs are generally run and organized by the parents of the students in the supported organizations, and by athletic supporters and alumni. Boosters are not necessarily social organizations. Their main function is to develop support for student programs.

A popular way for booster clubs to raise money is with raffles held at sporting events for some item that is donated by a local business, sell clothing such as t-shirts with the school’s name and mascot (logo) on it, or the sale of popcorn, hotdogs, sandwiches and other food items to the fans who attend the games tournaments, events, etc.
