Kudos & Congratulations:

J Jim Burke Education Foundation recently announced its 2012-2013 student leaders. Out of ten spots, not one, but two Scotsmen were selected to the prestigious Ford Dimension team: juniors Ashly Mohankumar and Briana Wright. Please also join us in congratulating the following member of the Dream Builders team: Alexander Pearson (our county chess champ!) THANK YOU to Alex Vasquez for encouraging our students to apply. What an honor it is to be recognized by Jim Burke’s foundation, a strong educational supporter. Scot pride IS city-wide!

J Congratulations to Ryan “Bubba” O’Leary who shot a one over par 73 to claim the individual area championship May 7th at Mifflin-Buena Vista Golf Course. Ryan and Colby Powers, who shot a 76, qualified for the individual section championships to be held on May 21, also at Buena Vista. Go Scotsmen!

The WATCH Parent Group (Working Auxiliary To Care and Help) is Highland High School’s parent organization. Please check out WATCH!

Parents and Students: Highland offers plenty of opportunities for parent and student involvement in a multiple of athletics or activities. Your involvement makes a big difference in the school community and our future. To ask how you can get involved - Email Steve Matney (Director of Athletics) and/or Meaghan Barber-Smith (Director of Activities), one of our counselors, or one of our administrators.
