 Announcements:

Attention All Students: If you are not participating in a Sport but would still like to be, it’s not too late to come out for Cross Country. Practices are every day after school. Meet in room 7A. If you have any questions see Coach Mayberry in room 7A or Coach Wykoff in room 6C.

Anyone raising money for Booster’s Fundraiser-Adopt a Player, the turn in date for money has been extended to August 29th! If you need a form, see your coach or stop by the Athletic Department.

Students –  Do you want to get into all athletic games for free this year?! If you plan on going to more than one athletic event this year, be sure to buy your ASB sticker for the low, low price of  $15 in the Finance Office!  If you have an ASB sticker, you can get into all athletic events in the district for FREE!!! If you go to only 3-4 events, it will pay for itself!!!

 9th graders – If you bought the 9th Grade registration bundle last spring, please go by the Finance Office to get your ASB sticker. You must have your ID to get your sticker!!! The sticker will get you into all athletic events for FREE!!

To celebrate the end of our first full week of school, WE ARE asking if you would help support Highland High School French club with our annual tee shirt sale.  This year we have a great design to help everyone get into that PLAID spirit! So come see us in 7C!

Cafeteria News! Afternoon Snack is being served Monday thru Friday after School.Dinner will be served Monday thru Thursday. No Dinner Served  on Fridays. So come and join us!

From the dean’s office:Highland students, please remember you must wear appropriate attire while at Highland High School.  In order to promote a safe environment that focuses on education and minimizes distractions, please adhere to our dress code expectations:  Spaghetti straps, tank or tube tops are prohibited.  All attire should be fit without exposing undergarments, stomachs, bottoms or cleavage.  Please see the dean if you have any questions.    

Club News

 Chess Club is meeting at lunch and after school every Tuesday and Thursday in room 11D.  Bring your game and desire to compete and try to give Mr. Raddatz a challenge.  This year’s competition schedule is also available.  See you then!

National Honors Society would love to invite Juniors and Seniors to come to 6A to meet their new club advisor Mrs. Meng. Sophomores are invited to attend the meeting as well since they will be eligible to officially join next year. Remember come this Monday, August 27th  to meet Mrs. Meng in 6A. Have an amazing day. Aviation Club Announcement: Do you like planes? Would you like to learn new things about how to fly? Come to room 7G this Tuesday during lunch to learn about how planes fly. We will help you reach your goals and of course we are always there for those who just need a friend. Join us in 7G and we will fly together!

Red Cross Club Announcement: Red Cross will be having a meeting today in Mrs. Martinez’s room, 4P-D. Seniors, Red Cross is a great opportunity to earn those required community service hours! Volunteering with this non-profit organization will also look amazing on any resume or college application. We invite all upper and lower classes to join!
