Attention Freshman: The Highland AVID program is currently accepting applications for the next year’s sophomore AVID class. If you didn’t get an application in your English class or you have questions about the application, please stop by 6D. Applications are due April 6th to 6D.

March is National Theatre in Our Schools Month. According to the journal “Ready to Innovate,” 56% of corporate executives and 79% of school superintendents agree that a college degree in the arts is the most significant indicator of creativity in a prospective job candidate. And the U.S. employers rate creativity and innovation among the top five most important skills in prospective job candidates. Want to get a jump on future job competition, while making friends and memories that will last a lifetime? Seniors: Please pick up your panoramic pictures in the athletic office before school, during lunch or after school.

Powder Puff applications are NOW available in the Athletics Office! You won’t want to miss this event and see if the seniors keep their title! Applications are due by April 4th!

Juniors and Seniors – Prom is just around the corner on April 21st!  Be sure to get all your debts cleared and turn in your fall and winter uniforms!!

  • Prom permission slips are now available in the Athletic Office.  If you are bringing a guest, they must be approved by the Dean – please plan accordingly!  All debts must be cleared (including uniforms) in order to purchase a bid!

Calling all poets! April is National Poetry Month so get ready for our annual Open-Mic Poetry in the library. Stay tuned for details….

Calling all 10th and 11th grade students who like to help others and want to make a difference on campus - Link Crew wants you to join our mentor team.  Go to tinyurl.com/hhslinkcrew to apply.  All students that wish to be in Link Crew again must reapply.  Deadline to apply is 4/6/18 Go Scots!

Looking for a job? Students that are 16 years old and over there will be a Job Fair for the Sno Shack on March 22nd and 27th. For more information please see Mrs. Carter in the Career Center or Athletics Office.

Seniors- There is a Maya Cinema scholarship available. You must be planning to be a full time student at an approved 2-year college, 4 year college, or vocational school and have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA. For more information please see Mrs. Carter in the Career Center or Athletics Office.

Seniors:  If you have not yet purchased your cap and gown, you must do so ASAP!  You may order online at HerffJones.com or go to their office at 4700 Easton Drive. They have extended their office hours from 1pm – 6pm.

Juniors: If you got an overdue notice from your English teacher, take care of your business! Turn in books at the Library, and pay fines at the Finance Office.

Attention Seniors! If you have not received a notice for the California Science Test (CAST), please see Mrs. Ramos in the Title 1 office in the ADMIN building before you go on break. Remember that you test on Wednesday, April 4th. Thank you.

Seniors-Your instructions for graduation will be going out in the mail soon! Please make sure your CORRECT address is in the system per the Registrar.
