Congratulations to April Cierley! Her family was on hand December 18th, 2017 as the United States Marine Corps' Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps presented her with a $180,000.00 scholarship to pursue her dreams of attending UC Berkeley and ultimately become an astronaut! After graduating college, Cierley will be commissioned as an officer with the Marines. April was one of two local students to receive this scholarship.
