Yearbook News: 
  • Attention all seniors: if you want to vote for your senior favorites by submitting your quotes make sure to check your school email and fill out both forms. Quotes and votes need to be submitted by Friday November 4th or they will not be included in the yearbook.
  • Seniors! The time has finally come. Yearbook is finally accepting baby pictures! If you would like your baby picture in the yearbook you can bring them to 3E or submit them through email to [email protected]
If you would like to volunteer in the concession stand for this week’s home Football game, stop by the athletics/activities office.
 
Scots!!!  Need something to prop up your phone? Something to help you take that selfie? Pop-sockets are now at Highland! Stop by the Student Store to check out our new H block pop-sockets!

Seniors are you in need of Community Service hours? Eissler Elementary is in need of volunteers to help set up a maze in their cafeteria and also need help supervising the elementary students during this event. The event is on Thursday October 26, 2017 from 3:30 to 6pm. Please come by 2A and ask Mrs. Carter for details.

Scots! Give it up!  If you are at least 16 years old, our first blood drive of the year is Wednesday, October 25th!! Stop by the Activities/Athletics Office to pick up a permission slip. All permission slips are due by Monday, October 23rd. 

  • Students – You are someone’s type! Our first blood drive of the year is this Wednesday! Make sure you turn in your permission slip to the Activities/Athletics Office.

There will be a brief meeting in the Athletic Office for all perspective Softball Players on Thursday during lunch.  Grab your lunch and stop by.

Seniors and Juniors who are interested in taking the ASVAB in November should sign up in the career center with Mrs. Carter in 2A.

In need of community service hours? Well, here’s the opportunity.  Volunteers are needed - Please help us on one or both nights of our Safe Halloween event October 30 and October 31 from 3pm-10:00 pm (split shifts available).  Volunteers are needed to supervise bounce houses, handing out candy, handing out trick-or-treat bags, security, line control, customer information and trash pickup. You may also contact Gina, Stephanie, or Amber at 661-437-3330 or email: [email protected] for more information.  Please come by 2A and speak to Mrs. Carter for more information.

 

Club News

  • Hey Chess Club.  It is still not too late to go to the competitions.  The next completion is October 26th (that’s a Thursday).  If you’ve got game (or think you do) stop by 11D during LUNCH this week and pick up a Permission Slip.  If you already have a permission slip – TURN IT IN PLEASE!!  See you then!
  • Investigative forensics club meets this Thursday the 26th in room 3I at lunch

  • InterAct club meets this Wednesday at lunch in room 3C.

  • S.T.A.N.D will be having it’s club meeting this Wednesday in room 4D. Come join us to STOP BULLYING in all areas of life. Hope to see you there!

  • COLLEGE SHIRT WEDNESDAYS are back!  STUDENTS & STAFF - Wear your college gear every Wednesday in support Highland’s College Going Culture.  Stop by the Career Center and show off your gear and get a treat!
