Announcements:

• Hey there Scots! Ticket sales for the Homecoming dance on 10/11 is out now! The Dance theme is Viva Las Vegas. Tickets are selling for $10 at the finance office, $20 dollars at the door on the day of the dance. Don't miss out! 

• AP Students - It's October which means the deadline is drawing closer.  Avoid getting caught in the long lines or incurring a $40 late fee if you miss the deadline.  October 24^this the last day to sign up for your AP exams without a late fee penalty.  Sign up online or at the finance office as soon as possible and avoid the procrastination monster.

• Attention Scots! Did you know that HOCO is next week? Our theme this year is Scotty's Great American Road Trip. Don't miss out on the opportunity to dress up for next week! Monday, 10/6 is Scotty in Hawaii, dress up tropical and beach wear or wear pink and blue, Tuesday 10/7 is Scotty in a Hollywood film, dress up as a celebrity or wear black and red, Wednesday 10/8, is Scotty in the Big Apple, dress up as a tourist, I love New York shirts or wear colors white and blue. For Scotty's final stop is in Nashville, on Thursday 10/9, get ready for the honkeytonk and wear your best country outfit or wear yellow and brown. On Friday, 10/10, is Scotty coming back home to Bakersfield, wear our school colors of green and blue or wear our HOCO shirts

• Hey there Scots! Are you hungry during lunch? Want something to eat other than PB&J sandwiches? Next Thursday, the 9th of October we're hosting a food sale during lunch, don't forget to bring your money! 

• Scots, if you want to be more aware of the events at Highland and want to be involved? Follow the Highland ASB Instagram account hhscots! 

• Hey there Scots! Don't know what to wear to the football game? Want to show your school spirit? The HOCO shirts are on sale now in the activities office for 20 dollars! Buy one before it sells out! 

• Scots - If you missed picture day last week, don't stress!  We will have a picture make up day on November 5th!

• Seniors - Our next on campus order day with Jostens for cap and gowns is coming soon!  They will be on campus October 14^thduring lunch to take orders. You can also order your cap and gown online at Jostens.com.

• Seniors! If you have not taken your senior yearbook picture with Carlos Murillo Photography yet, the deadline is October 31st.  Make sure to schedule your appointment soon at 661-332-4170.  Only senior yearbook pictures taken by Carlos Murillo will be used in the yearbook. 

Club News:

• Scots! Girls Soccer conditioning starts Monday October 13th at 3:30pm. Students have to be cleared on Sportsnet for the 25-26 academic year to participate during conditioning/tryouts. Students will not be allowed to come out until they are cleared. If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Jacquelyn in Room 4I.

• Boys Soccer Tryouts begin Monday October 6^th at 4:00pm at the practice fields, make sure you have submitted your physical. Only running shoes are needed.
