Announcements:

• Attention Scots! Did you know that HOCO is next week? Our theme this year is Scotty's Great American Road Trip. Don't miss out on the opportunity to dress up for next week! Monday, 10/6 is Scotty in Hawaii, dress up tropical and beach wear or wear pink and blue, Tuesday 10/7 is Scotty in a Hollywood film, dress up as a celebrity or wear black and red, Wednesday 10/8, is Scotty in the Big Apple, dress up as a tourist, I love New York shirts or wear colors white and blue. For Scotty's final stop is in Nashville, on Thursday 10/9, get ready for the honkeytonk and wear your best country outfit or wear yellow and brown. On Friday, 10/10, is Scotty coming back home to Bakersfield, wear our school colors of green and blue or wear our HOCO shirts

• Good morning, Scots! Are you ready to dance the night away at our annual Homecoming Dance?  Mark your calendars for October 11th. The dance will take place in the Gym from 7-10PM. This year is Vegas themed. Tickets are available in the Finance Office for $10 until 10/10. Tickets will be $20 at the door. So, grab your ticket and get ready to dance the night away. We look forward to seeing you all there. 
• Hey there Scots! Don't know what to wear to the football game? Want to show your school spirit? The HOCO shirts are on sale now in the activities office for 20 dollars! Buy one before it sells out! 

• Scots - If you missed picture day last week, don't stress!  We will have a picture make up day on November 5th!

• Seniors - Our next on campus order day with Jostens for cap and gowns is coming soon!  They will be on campus October 14^thduring lunch to take orders. You can also order your cap and gown online at Jostens.com.

• Seniors! If you have not taken your senior yearbook picture with Carlos Murillo Photography yet, the deadline is October 31st.  Make sure to schedule your appointment soon at 661-332-4170.  Only senior yearbook pictures taken by Carlos Murillo will be used in the yearbook. 

• Attention Freshmen! Last call to pick up your tumbler that you purchased with the 9^thgrade bundle at Scots Preview Night!  Tumblers may be picked up in the Activities Office before school, after school or at lunch. They will be available for pick up for one more week!

• AP Students - have you registered for your AP tests yet?  The due date is October 24^thand will be here before you know it.  Payments can be made online or in person at the finance office.  Save yourself the long line and get it done today.

Club News:

• Scots! Girls Soccer conditioning starts Monday October 13th at 3:30pm. Students have to be cleared on Sportsnet for the 25-26 academic year to participate during conditioning/tryouts. Students will not be allowed to come out until they are cleared. If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Jacquelyn in Room 4I.

• Boys Soccer Tryouts begin Monday October 6^th at 4:00pm at the practice fields, make sure you have submitted your physical. Only running shoes are needed.

• If you are interested in playing Boys Basketball this year, please see Coach Valdez in portable D14, Coach Vizcarra in room 4H, or Coach Ware in portable 4P.  Tryouts begin on Oct. 30th for all Non-Fall Sport athletes. To tryout, you must be present for workouts in the month of October. If you are in a Fall Sport your tryout will be after your season of sport concludes.
