Announcements:

• Scots! It’s day two of PLAID week. Today is about Leadership. Leadership means inspiring others to know, to do, and to be. Some ways you can show this attribute is to participate, help others, strive to improve, and set a good example

• Scots! Picture day is this week!  10^thand 11^th graders will be on Monday 9/22 and 9^th and 12^th graders will be on Wednesday 9/24. 9^th and 10^th graders will go with their PE classes and 11^th and 12^th graders with their English classes.  12^th grade pictures are for Synergy only.  Order forms are available with the teachers you are taking pictures with or can be ordered on-line at mylifetouch.com with code: EVTQZP9XZ. If you do not have a PE class or an English class, you may go to the gym during lunch to take your pictures.

• All AP Students - if you've decided to take the test, it's time to get fully registered.  You can pay for your AP test online or at the finance office.  $99 full price or $20 if you qualify for free/reduced.  Deadline is October 24th.

• Sophomores & Juniors - Space is still available for the PSAT.  $10 to the finance office gets you signed up.  September 24^this the last day to reserve your space.

• Seniors - You can take the SAT during the school day if you register at the finance office by September 24^th.  Deadline is approaching quick - don't get left behind.  Get your $33 to the finance office to reserve your spot.

Club News:

• Are you interested in writing stories, novels, songs, or poems? If you do, then you should join the Creative Writing Club! We have weekly meetings at lunch on Thursday in room 3B, please join us!

• Hear ye, Hear ye!  It's official - Mock Trial is back at Highland.  Come pick up an info sheet from room 4G to find out what you need to do.  If you've ever thought about a career in the law, then this competition is for you.  Come be a part of the team that wins the case.
