Announcements:

• Scots!  If you want to get into this week's football games for free, be sure to pick up your school ID from the Career Center in Room - 2A before or after school!

• Freshmen! If you bought the Freshmen Bundle at Scots Preview Night last spring, stop by the Activities Office to pick up your Highland tumbler!  The bundle included your PE uniform, yearbook and tumbler.  Stay tuned for opportunities to use your tumbler on campus!

Club News:

• Attention Scots! If you are interested in joining the Highland Girls Soccer Program this upcoming season, please join us for our informational meeting on Wednesday, September 3, during lunch in room 4I. Hope to see you there!

• Hey Scots! It's time to get these shows on the road! Highland Drama is starting off the year with a bang! Auditions for our first musical of the year, MEAN GIRLS, will be held next week! Dancing on Tuesday, singing on Wednesday, and acting on Thursday after school! Performances happen in November! This production will count as an 8th period class! We are looking for singers, dancers, and actors! Everyone is welcome to audition! Come be part of an

award-winning program! Also, as an added bonus, Highland will have Broadway superstar Kerry Butler coming to work with the cast of Mean Girls! You may know Kerry from the original Broadway cast of Beetlejuice where she played Barbara, the original Penny Pingleton in Hairspray, or currently playing Miss Fleming in the musical Heathers off-Broadway! • Hey there, photographers? Are you interested in joining Photo Club? We will be hosting an informational meeting at lunch on Tuesday 9/2 in room 7H. Can't wait to see you there!

• "Chess, chess, chess, chess! Chess club is having a meeting this Thursday, August 28, during lunch in room 5C to elect officers, talk about upcoming Chess club events, and to get the year started! If you are new to chess, an expert, or just want to come out to socialize, then Chess club is for you! Everyone is welcome."
