Announcements:

• The theme for this year's Women's History month is "Moving Forward Together".  This theme celebrates women who have dedicated their lives to education, mentorship and leadership.  Thank you to all the women on our staff who do this!

• Powder Puff Permission slips are available in room 7J. Turn in your permission slip and receipt to Mr. Gutierrez in 7J by THIS Friday at lunch. See Mr. Gutierrez with any questions.

• Seniors!  Time is running out to purchase your Grad Night tickets! The last day to purchase is March 28th!  Tickets are pre-sold only.  Pick up your permission slip in the Activities Office today.

• Scots!  ASB applications are now available in the Activities Office.  Help create a positive and fun campus culture and learn about leadership next year!  Applications are open to all current Highland students and are due on March 19th.  See Ms. Barber-Smith with any questions. 

• Interested in joining the Military and have not taken the ASVAB test? On Thursday March 20^thwe will be offering the test here on campus in the library. To get on the list and take the test, you will need to fill out the google form on your Canvas page or scan the barcode located on the door of the Career Center Room 2A. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Yubeta in Room 2A.

• Attention all Freshmen!!! There will be a FREE paint night Next Monday, 3/17/2025. There will be free snacks and drinks as well! Please see Mr. Valdez in 14D or a link leader with any questions or concerns. Hope to see you and your friends there.

• Good morning, Scots!  It’s time for AVID’s College of the Week. This week our school is UC Riverside!! UC Riverside is ranked no. 1 public university. UC Riverside also has very high racial diversity; 89% of students are minorities or people of color. Congratulations to AVID senior, Aribeth Noyola, for being accepted to Riverside!
