- Black history fact of the day: Not only was Charlotte Ray the first African American woman lawyer in the United States, in 1872, she became the first woman admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia, the first woman to graduate from Howard University School of Law, and the first woman to be admitted to the District of Columbia Bar. Despite being recognized as "one of the best lawyers on corporations in the country" at the time, her independent law practice struggled to find clients willing to entrust their cases to a Black woman.

- Good morning, Scots! It’s time for AVID’s College of the Week. This week, our school is California State University Fullerton. Here are some facts about Fullerton: Fact #1: CSU Fullerton is known for its diversity, with a student body that includes a high percentage of first-generation college students and a strong Hispanic-Serving Institution designation. Fact #2: Fullerton also had over 41,000 students enrolled in the 2023–2024 academic year, making it the largest school in the CSU system. Congratulations to AVID Seniors Christian Medina, Stephanie Giron and Andrea Martinez for being accepted to CSUF!
