Announcements:

• On Valentines Day we will be having a “heart attack”. Every student will have a heart with their name on it. 9^th graders’ hearts will be on the gym window, 10^th grades will be on the cafeteria, 11^th grade on the PAC window and 12^th grades will be on the Activities Office and the Library. We encourage you to find your heart and take a picture with it. Make sure to post it @hhscots.

• Staff! We didn’t forget about you! Check out the windows by the attendance office.

• Scots! On Valentines Day wear red if you are taken, pink if it’s complicated and white if you are single.

• Scots! Please join us on Valentine’s Day by the gym during lunch to get a kiss at ASB’s kiss booth.

• Love doesn't pay the bills, come and find a career Friday Feb 14^thduring lunch in the gym to learn about various careers from professionals in the community.

• AP Students - if you put down a deposit in November for your test, the balance is due by Feb 20th.  That deadline is approaching so don't miss it or your test will be canceled.  If you missed the November deadline to order a test, you could still order a test with a late fee.  The deadline is Feb. 20th.  

• Scots! We are still collecting school and classroom supplies for Palisades High School which was affected by the fires down in LA.  Right now, the 2nd period classes with DeLateur, Savage and Parra in the lead of the competition for donuts.  If you want to participate, let your 2^ndperiod teacher know!  The deadline is this Friday! 

• Seniors! Friday is the last day to order your cap and gown before the price goes up! You can order online at Jostens.com. 

• Students, after school tutoring in the library will be cancelled on Wednesday, 2/12 due to an athletic signing event. We apologize for the inconvenience. Tutoring will be available on Thursday, 2/13. 

• James Van Der Zee was an instrumental figure in documenting Black life during the Harlem Renaissance during the 1920s and ’30s. Over the course of his life he took more than 75,000 photos and his pictures sought to portray the beauty of each sitter, often employing painted backdrops, plush parlor furniture, and a variety of props, carefully posing each of his sitters.

Club News:

• Hey Scots, did you know that February 15th-22nd is National FFA Week! In honor of FFA week, FFA will be hosting many events throughout next week! Hope to see you there! February 19th- at lunch in the quad will be a mini–Farmers Market, come out and learn about Some of our California produced AG products and try some of those products for free! February 20th- At lunch in the quad will be Teacher Inflatable Race, come out to cheer on your teachers compete in our obstacle course in costume inflatable.

• Calling all class of 2028... There is a new shirt in store for you only. Pre-order your class of 2028 shirt online or at the finance office for only $20.00. Don't wait, the deal is only good until 2/26/25. Don't be left out of the new hot stylish class of 2028 shirt.

• Hi Photo club members! We will be having a meeting this Thursday 2/13 at lunch in room 7H, and we will be taking a picture for the yearbook. See you there!

• Good morning, Scots!  It’s time for AVID’s College of the Week. This week our school is California State University, Northridge. Fact 1: CSUN offers 19 NCAA Division I sports. Fact 2: The university was known as San Fernando Valley State College until 1969 when it was officially named California State University, Northridge. Fact 3: In 1994 the Northridge area was hit by a devastating 6.7-magnitude earthquake. Fortunately, the school had no fatalities but sustained over $400 million in damage to buildings and infrastructure. Congratulations to AVID Seniors Christian Medina and Andrea Martinez for being accepted to CSUN!
