Announcements:
- Juniors - The time is drawing short to sign up for the SAT. The deadline is Friday, January 31st - get your payment into the finance office or go talk to Mrs. Yubeta in room 2A if you qualify for a free test. The SAT will be given during school on March 11th- location to be announced.
- Cash 4 College: Complete Your Financial Aid Application. Join us to fill out your FASFA or CADAA on Saturday February 1, 2025, in the Highland High School Library starting at 9am until 1pm. Students will need to have their personal email, phone number and social security number. Parents will need to have their personal email address, phone number, social security number and tax returns from 2023. If you have any questions, feel free to talk to Ms. Yubeta in the Career Center.
- Kern Community Foundation will be hosting a FREE Scholarship Workshop here at Highland for our Seniors. This workshop will make you eligible for over 50 scholarships and over $3 million dollars in scholarships. It will be Wednesday January 29thin 2A 6th Please sign up using the link that is in your CANVAS Class of 2025 Counseling page or go by and see Ms. Yubeta in 2A or go by your counselor’s office for the QR Code.
- Current Sophomores and Juniors who want to go to either ROC or CTEC Field Trip. Students will be accepted on the field trip based on when the permission slip is returned. There are 50 spots for each trip (students may only go on one of the field trips). LAST Day to turn in a permission slip is February 12th at 4pm no exceptions. To get a permission slip you must go to 2A Before School, at lunch or after school and pick up a permission slip from Ms. Yubeta. Make sure you get the correct permission slip and return it as soon as you can.
- Hi Scots, do you guys have siblings that attend Highland? Do you also want to be in the yearbook? Sibling pictures are being taken for the yearbook, if you would like to be included, come to the Library this Thursday January 30th at the beginning of lunch.
