  • Congratulations to our Winter Formal Royalty!  9thgrade - Adrianna Gutierrez & Tinsley Lane, 10th grade - Janaye Phillips and Joslyn Gallegoz, 11th grade - Hollie Bowling and Liana Ramirez and 12th grade - Lauren Montes & Xavier Montes.  

 

  • AP Students - May will be upon us before we know it and it's time to finalize the exam order.  If you would like to take an AP exam you can still sign up in the finance office with a $40 late fee (government students - late fee does not apply to you) by February 20th.  If you made a $40 non-refundable deposit, the balance that you owe is due by February 20thto the finance office.  There are no on-line payments for AP tests - all payments must be made to the finance office.  Don't delay - get your payments in today!

 

  • Hey, students, do you have a favorite recipe that's a total showstopper? This is your chance to shine, win great prizes, and have your recipe featured in our cafeteria. The KHSD Nutrition Services invites you to participate in the Annual Culinary Recipe and Cooking Contest. This year’s theme is Culinary Clash, Showcasing Flavors of the World!  Entering is a breeze- just whip up a dish using healthy and delicious ingredients, capture a photo of your culinary masterpiece, and complete an entry form by March 31, 2025. The winner will be chosen during a live cookoff in April. Grab an entry form from the cafeteria.

  • Good morning, Scots!  It’s time for AVID’s College of the Week.  This week our school is California State University, Chico. Here are some facts to know about Chico State: 1 Chico State is located 90 miles north of Sacramento; 174 miles northeast of San Francisco. 2 It is the 2nd oldest CSU Campus founded in 1887. 3 One of the largest majors is business administration. Congratulations to AVID seniors Serenity Baker, Lylianah Faz, and Christian Medina for being accepted to Chico!

 

  • Are you interested in writing stories, novels, songs, or poems? If you do, then you should join the Creative Writing Club! We will be having our first meeting of the year on Thursday January 16that lunch in room 3B. 

 

  • If you want to try out for boys' golf, please see Coach Smart in the Boys' P.E. Office and sign up. This will only be available for the next two weeks. Tell everyone and sign up now. 

 

  • Attention Photo Club Members, there will be a Photo Club meeting this Wednesday at lunch in 7H. Hope to see you there!

 

  • Got the Dot Club is hosting an Outback Drive Thru! You can purchase a ticket for $20 that contains a 4.5oz sirloin, 5oz chicken breast, Caesar salad, and mashed potatoes. Pick up of the food is on February 4th from 6:30-7:30pm at the Outback at 5051 Stockdale HWY. The last day to buy tickets is January 31st.
