Announcements:

 

  • Scots! Want to save some money on your formal tickets?  If you bring 5 canned food items to the Activities Office by December 17th, you can get a $5 off coupon for formal!  Only one coupon per student and good until December 20th

 

  • Formal bids go on sale Monday, December 9th.  Tickets are $55 with ASB sticker and $60 without! Prices will go up the week of the 16th! You MUST have your school ID and debt cleared to purchase before school, lunch and after school. If you are bringing a non-HHS guest, you MUST get the guest permission slip signed by the Dean's office first and buy at the same time as when you buy yours! If you have any questions, please see Ms. Barber-Smith in the Activities Office. 

 

  • Scots!  Next Friday, December 13this our annual ugly Christmas sweater contest and snow day!  The 2nd period class and the department with the most participants on Friday will win a prize!  Be sure to wear your ugliest sweater or your favorite winter snow day clothes!

 

Club News:

 

  • Are you interested in joining the United States Air Force? USAF recruiters will be on campus Thursday, December 12th during lunchtime by the finance office to answer any questions you may have.

 

 

  • The Highland Chess Club competed here at Highland this past Saturday in a chess tournament against Stockdale, Liberty, Del Oro, and South High School. HUGE congratulations to Isaac Garcia for placing 1st in Varsity and Andrew Nielsen for placing 1st in JV. Shoutout to Aidan Petty for placing 5th and Corbin Dailey for placing 7th in Varsity. The next Chess tournament will be at Liberty High School in February. Interested in joining Highland's Chess Club? We meet on Wednesdays after school and during lunch in classroom 5C. It's never too late to join the Chess Club.
