Announcements:

 

  • AP Students - this is the week!  Decisions must be made!  If you want to take an AP exam in May, you need to sign up and pay by this Friday!  This is a two-step process.  Step 1:  Join the AP Classroom Step 2:  Get your payment in either on-line or to the finance office.  Still have questions?  Talk to your AP teacher, your counselor, or come see Mrs. Procell in room 4G.  Don't delay - Friday is the deadline!

 

  • Seniors!! This Thursday is the senior panoramic picture during 2nd period.  Please go to your class for attendance first! If you are ROC or CTEC, please find MBS on the field for your pass.  Do NOT be late!

 

  • Seniors - If you have not taken your free yearbook picture with Carlos Murillo yet, make sure you schedule your appointment ASAP!  The deadline is next week on 10/31!!

 

  • Scots! Bring Your Own Banana day is back!  This Wednesday is BYOB during lunch! Come by at lunch to get a banana split sundae!

 

  • Scots!  We wear pink on Wednesday's during the month of October - be sure to wear your pink on Wednesday!

 

  • This past weekend, Highland's Art Club participated Via Arte at the Market Place, and I'm thrilled to announce that our team won Best Overall School for the second year in a row! These talented students worked tirelessly from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, showcasing their incredible creativity and dedication. Please join me in congratulating the following students for their outstanding work: Paula Zambrano, Nahleh Mendoza Audrey Allred, Adhora Khan, Katelyn Relucio, Keira Garcia, Perla Molina-Rodriguez, Belle Rieck, Layla Guzman, Amazing job, everyone!

 

Club News:

 

  • Good morning, Scots! It’s time for AVID’s College of the Week. This week our institution is the US Navy. Fact 1: The average person that joins stands to make $70,000 annually with benefits. Fact 2: The US Navy has over a hundred ports across the world allowing you to travel if you want and take advantage of the facilities they have. Fact 3: The highest education you need to join is a high school diploma or GED equivalent

 

  • The 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament is back and in order for Fri. Oct. 25thstarting at 4:15PM in the gymnasium.  If you already submitted a team and paid for them last month, you are taken care of. If you are wanting to create a new team, make sure to see Coach Valdez in 14J for your team's paperwork. Remember, there will be both a boys and girls division. Spectators are welcome to attend for $2.
