Announcements:

• Did you know that breast cancer death rates have slowly decreased since 1989, for an overall decline of 43% through 2020.  This is in part due to better screening and early detection efforts, increased awareness, and continually improving treatment options.  Women who receive regular screenings for breast cancer have a 26% lower breast cancer death rate than woman who do not receive screenings. Be sure to remind the women in your life to schedule their mammograms!

• Scots - Be sure to join us at lunch today to get your face painted for breast cancer awareness.  Also, come out to the pink out game tonight where we will be honoring breast cancer survivors, honoring our senior football players, band members and cheerleaders.  We will also announce the winners of this year's Super Scots!

• AP Students - Have you decided yet?  October 25^thwill be here before you know it!  That's the deadline to sign up for your AP exams without incurring a $40 late fee.  Get your money into the finance office or go to Highland's on-line store to purchase your AP exams.  Still have questions about the exams?  Talk to your AP teacher, your counselor, or come see Mrs. Procell in room 4G.

• Need help filling out your college applications? Join us for College Application Mondays after school in room 2A for assistance.

• Scots - Stop by the Student Store or the Finance Office to purchase your pink PLAID Zone shirt for this Thursday night's Pink Out game!

Tt’s just around the corner & sign-ups are all around campus, so secure your spot! This year’s theme is movies, so make sure you find the perfect performance that will steal the show! Also, ASB & Drama, don’t think we forgot about you guys, FFA is taking home the gold this year!
