Announcements:

• Need help filling out your college applications? Join us for College Application Mondays after school in room 2A for assistance.

• Did you know that 1 in 8 women, or approximately 13% of the female population in the U.S., will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.  On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States.  There is probably someone in your life who has been diagnosed.  

• Scots! Come see us at lunch today to "blow away" breast cancer in the quad and be sure to wear pink tomorrow!  Also - help us "sock cancer" and bring a new pair of socks tomorrow to donate to patients going through chemotherapy.  

• Scots - Stop by the Student Store or the Finance Office to purchase your pink PLAID Zone shirt for this Thursday night's Pink Out game!

• Seniors and Staff - Please be sure to vote for this year's Super Scots today!  These are seniors who have been nominated by the HHS staff and demonstrate PLAID by showing leadership, scholarship and service to Highland High school. • If you are 16 years old or older and would like to donate blood, please come by the Activities Office to pick up a Blood Drive permission slip.  Signed permission slips are due to the Activities Office by this Friday!

• AP students - have you decided which tests you are going to take?  It's time to get signed up for them - only two weeks until the October 25^th After that, you will be charged a late fee of $40 plus the test cost.  You can pay online or at the finance office and remember to join the AP Classroom also.
