- Scots - If you did not take your school picture last month, you will receive a call slip today to take your picture.
- Breast Cancer Awareness Fact of the Day: 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. In 2024, an estimated 310,720 women and 2,800 men will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Chances are, you know at least one person who has been personally affected by breast cancer.
- This week is Highland's Pink Week! Be sure to come out at lunch each day to see what we have going on in support of Breast Cancer Awareness! Today at lunch come and write an encouraging letter to a cancer patient in the quad. And don't forget that Wednesdays we wear pink during the month of October!
- If you are 16 years old or older and would like to donate blood, please come by the Activities Office to pick up a Blood Drive permission slip. Signed permission slips are due to the Activities Office by this Friday!
- AP students - have you decided which tests you are going to take? It's time to get signed up for them - only two weeks until the October 25th After that, you will be charged a late fee of $40 plus the test cost. You can pay online or at the finance office and remember to join the AP Classroom also.
Club News:
- Ecuador's population is about 10 percent of European descent. Another 25 percent belong to indigenous or native cultures and the remainder are of mostly mixed ethnicity. Many of the native people are subsistence farmers and only grow enough food for their family. Soccer also is the national sport.
