• Attention all cheerleaders!  We have a mandatory meeting TODAY at lunch in the ASB room. Please be there by 12:20. See you then!

• Club Advisors and Presidents - If you have not turned in your Annual Club Update, please be sure to do so by the 27th!

• Hispanic Heritage fact of the day: Did you know that as of June 6, 2024, 72% of HHS students identify as Hispanic and 7 out 10 students show college readiness. In celebration, PODER is hosting a door contest during 3rd period. Remind your teacher to sign up if they haven’t yet or contact Mrs. Santamaria. Winners will be determined on September 30th and win a special prize.

• Good morning, Scots! It’s time for AVID’s College of the Week. This week our school is the University of Southern California! Fact 1: USC invests $35 million annually to support community initiatives, serving 40,000 community members. Fact 2: The University of Southern California has attracted $955.6 million in sponsored research to fund studies in biotech, biomedical engineering, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease. Fact 3: The average USC GPA requirement is 3.83, and while SAT & ACT scores are not required, a higher score on either test can compensate for a lower GPA.

• Come to the first meeting of the Newspaper Club this Wednesday during lunch in Room 8A. We'd love to have you there!

• Do you want to join a new club called LISTOS here at Highland? LISTOS stands for Latinos in Stride to Obtain Success. They’re having a meeting this Thursday during lunch at 11D at the Video Production classroom. If you have any questions, look for Mr. Zavala.

• “Campus Life Club – First meeting of the year will be Tuesday at Lunch in room 11B. Grab your lunch and come on over. Room 11B is located in the hallway behind the student store.
