Announcements:

• Students - If you are doing any transactions at the Finance Office, you MUST have your student ID card!  This makes the transactions go quicker and also helps to identify who you are.  Please pick up your ID card in the library before or after school if you have not done so already!

• Freshmen- If have not taken a picture for your ID please come to the library before or after school to take your photo.

• Scots - This is your last chance to buy a c/o 2025 or Highland yard sign!  Signs are $20 and can be purchased in the Finance Office!

• Are you tired of paying for the football and volleyball games? Do you want discounts on dances and other school events?  Then buy an ASB sticker!!  ASB stickers get you into all KHSD athletic events for free (except playoffs) and discounts on several things. Stop by the Finance Office to purchase.  You MUST have your school ID though. If you still need your ID - go by the library before school, lunch or after school to pick up.

• Seniors - If you haven't taken your FREE senior yearbook picture either on campus or at the studio, please contact Carlos Murillo at 661-332-4170 to schedule an appointment ASAP.  The deadline is fast approaching!

• Seniors - If you did not order your cap and gowns on Wednesday with Jostens, they will be back in November taking orders.  You can also order on-line at Jostens.com.  See Ms. Barber-Smith if you have any questions. 

• Scots!  Do you know anyone ages 3-12 who would like to be a Highland Cheerleader for a night?  Our Future Scots Cheer game is September 20^thand cheer clinic registration forms are now available!  Please see Ms. Barber-Smith in the Activities Office or any cheerleader for a form. 

• Sophomore and Juniors - Good news!  The deadline to sign up for the PSAT has been extended until Thursday, September 12th.  It's not too late.  Get your $18 to the finance office or stop by room 2A to see if you qualify for a free/reduced test.

• Juniors and Seniors - Great news!  For the first time in long time, Highland is offering the SAT School Day.  This means you don't have to give up a Saturday to take the SAT.  The deadline has been extended so you'll have until Thursday, September 12^thto pay the finance office or go by room 2A and talk to Mrs. Verde about a free test.

Club News:

• Interested in community service?  Come to the Red Cross Club meeting today at lunch in room 14C for information about the organization and upcoming events.
