Announcements:

 

  • Sophomore and Juniors - Good news!  The deadline to sign up for the PSAT has been extended until Thursday, September 12th.  It's not too late.  Get your $18 to the finance office or stop by room 2A to see if you qualify for a free/reduced test.

 

  • Juniors and Seniors - Great news!  For the first time in long time, Highland is offering the SAT School Day.  This means you don't have to give up a Saturday to take the SAT.  The deadline has been extended so you'll have until Thursday, September 12thto pay the finance office or go by room 2A and talk to Mrs. Verde about a free test.

 

  • Good morning, Studious Scots! After school tutoring will begin running on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays every week from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the library. On Tuesdays, students can get help in English, science, history, and math. On Wednesdays, we will have tutors for Science and Math. Thursday, we will have tutors in History, Science, and Econ. A tutoring bus will run on all three evenings at 5:30 p.m. outside the library.

 

  • Seniors! If you missed the grade level assembly last week, please come by the Activities Office to pick up the Jostens packet. 

 

Club News:

 

  • Do you want to join a new club called LISTOS here at Highland? LISTOS stands for Latinos In Stride To Obtain Success. They’re having their first meeting today during lunch at the Parent Center inside the main office. Get your lunch and stop by to get more information about the club.

 

  • The first Got the Dot meeting of this year will be this Thursday during lunch.  We meet in room 6F on the first Thursday of each month.  Come by and see what GTD is all about.

 

  • Interested in community service?  Come to the Red Cross Club meeting this Friday at lunch in room 14C for information about the organization and upcoming events.
