Announcements:

 

  • After school tutoring is cancelled for Tuesday, March 19thand Thursday, March 21st due to Freshmen registration. Before school tutoring is still available Wednesday morning from 8:00-8:45 a.m. and Wednesday after school from 4:00-5:30 p.m. 

 

  • Seniors! Did you miss the BC workshop? Don't worry, Senior Saturday is the day for YOU! Tomorrow, March 16thfrom 9am-2pm BC will help you complete your application, and you can qualify for priority registration for summer and fall 2024! Also, if you have not completed your FAFSA, we are hosting our last Cash 4 College workshop tomorrow March 16th from 10 am- 1pm in the library. Hope to see you there!

 

  • Iron Man volleyball game pre -sale tickets are available for purchase! Please check the gym area for filers or look for any volleyball girl to get your hands on a discounted price!! Ticket prices will go up when you buy at the door.

 

  • Powder Puff packets are available in the athletics/activity’s office. You must pay for your shirt then take the receipt and packet to 7J. Packets must be turned in by Thursday March 21st. See Coach Gutierrez if you have any questions.

 

  • Juniors and Seniors - If you are planning to attend prom next month, please start clearing your debt! This includes returning uniforms and old textbooks or library books! You can do this on your own! Scan the QR code on the flyer on the library door and follow the instructions.  

 

  • Hey Scots, if you haven’t bought a yearbook yet, don’t miss out.  Less than 100 copies are left.  Preorder yours today online or in the finance office for $95.  If you have questions, see Ms. Smith in 3E.

 

Club News:

 

  • Boys Basketball would like to congratulate Lance Haworth for winning both The 3 Point Contest, and The Dunk Contest at The Kern High All Star Game this past Wednesday, which is the first time in the history of the event that any player from any school has won both contests. Congrats Lance.

 

  • Good morning, Scots! It’s time for AVID’s college of the week. This week our school is UC Merced, home of the bobcats. UC Merced is a small private campus located in the city with a rural setting, UC Merced has outstanding programs and holds a huge commitment towards environmental stability. Congratulations to AVID senior Victoria Cisneros for being accepted to UC Merced!
