- Wellness Wednesday Tip: Did you know Laughter is good for your health? Laughter relaxes the whole body, boosts the immune system, triggers the release of endorphins, protects the heart, burns calories, laughter lightens anger and laughter may even help you live longer! Six-year-olds laugh an average of 300 times a day. Adults only laugh 15-100 times a day. Be six again.
- Scots! If you are interested in being part of Student Leadership next year, sign up for ASB! Applications are available in the Activities Office and are due on March 19th! Class Council application will be out in April.
- Staff and Students - ASB is hosting another hygiene and clothing drive for our unhoused youth. If you have any hygiene products like toothbrushes, shampoo, deodorant or new/gently used clothing that you would like to donate = please stop by the Activities Office to drop off. You can also bring on Wednesday to get tape for our Tape A Teacher fundraiser! All items will be donated to the Dream Center which helps our Bakersfield youth
- Scots! Wednesday is Bring Anything but a Backpack Day! We love to see how creative you get, but no shopping carts or motorized items for this day for everyone's safety!
- Scots! Sixty Seconds Is Back, It's time for the Rapid elimination round, Monday, Mrs. Hertzog, Tuesday, Mrs. Dunkel, Wednesday, MBS, Thursday, Mr. Zavala, and Friday, Mr. Thompson! Be sure to tune in on YouTube or follow on Instagram @SixtySeconds_Show
- Our spring food sale is Thursday 3/14 and THE FAST PASS IS BACK! For 5 PLAID points, you can be excused from your third period 5 minutes early to be one of the first in line! Purchase through the PLAID store on Studentvue and pick up your pass in the Activities Office at lunchtime. You will not be able to pick up your fast pass after 3/13. Please see Mrs. Winans or MBS with any questions
Club News:
- Iron Man practice for participants ONLY will be starting Monday 3/11-Wednesday 3/13 from 4:15-6:30pm. These practices are mandatory to play in the Iron Man game. Check-in will start right after school in the gym.
