- The gavel came down and Highland's Mock Trial defense team was victorious in successfully defending Tobie Clark against Centennial's Golden Hawks in Round 2. That's right - Highland is now 2-0 in this year’s Mock Trial competition. Congratulations to pre-trial attorney Abby Champ, trial attorneys Ronnee Calderon and Anatasia Ruiz, witnesses Aidan Hughes, Tiana Mendes, Kevin Saucedo, and Scarlette Camacho-Higuera, bailiff Myah Wright, and unofficial timer Halima El-Eryani. Way to go Scots!!!!!!

- Good morning, Scots! It’s time for AVID’s college of the week. This week our school is Westmont College Fact 1: Westmont College is Located in Santa Barbara and just a shuttle ride away from Butterfly Beach and East Beach. Fact 2: Westmont is a Christian-based school with small classes and over 80 majors and pre-professional programs. Fact 3: Westmont athletic teams have won nine NAIA national championships and 99 GSAC team championships. Congratulations to AVID seniors Micayla Yubeta and Sam Serrano for being accepted to Westmont!
