- Good morning, Scots. It’s time for AVID’s college of the week. This week our school is San Francisco State, home of the gators. Fact 1- San Francisco offers more than 70 different programs for students to be involved in and to learn from. Joining these programs allow you to explore different things and can allow you to find more passions and career paths. Fact 2- San Francisco’s campus life is very vibrant and diverse, with tons of clubs to make you feel more comfortable while also introducing you to new interests and people. Fact 3- The college was founded in 1899, and since then has had many successful graduates. The acceptance rate is 92% with a 77.6% graduation rate. Congratulations to AVID senior, Gracy Castillo, for being accepted to San Francisco State!
