  • If you are dressed up today for Halloween, come out to the grass area in front of the 8 building at lunch for ASB's annual costume contest.  There will be a prize for the best costume!

 

  • Scots - Our next food sale of the year is next week!  See you then!

 

  • The Sadies Hawkins dance, hosted by the cheerleaders, is coming soon! Ladies - this is your chance to ask a guy to the dance! We will also be having a proposal contest so get your proposals ready!

 

  • Do you love reading!  Stop by the Beale library this Saturday from 10:00am - 4:00pm for their  Children and Teen Used Book sale!

 

  • Scots! Winter sports season is fast approaching! Be sure to get your ASB sticker for only $25 which will get you into all KHSD basketball, wrestling and soccer events for free! It will also give you a discount for winter formal!

 

  • Juniors and Seniors: Are you interested in becoming a teacher?  Please see MBS in the Activities office about enrolling in a teaching class second semester!

 

 

 

 

  • Seniors:  As long as you have made an appointment with Carlos Murrillo for this week for your free senior picture, you will be in the yearbook. Thank you all for being diligent in making your appointments!

 

  • Scots! Our VAR Girl’s Tennis Team has won against Fresno 5-2. They will face Shafter in the CIF Central Section Division 5 Semi Finals on Wednesday November 1st @ 2pm. Congratulation’s to our Lady Scots!

 

Club News:

 

  • Hey Scots! Come see us during lunch in the quad area to soak your favorite seniors and support your link crew leaders it is $1 for a sponge, $2 for a cup and $5 for a bucket. We can't wait to see who gets soaked the most!

 

  • Good morning, Scots!  It’s time for AVID’s College of the Week. This week our school is California State University, Northridge. Fact 1: CSUN offers 19 NCAA Division I sports teams. Fact 2: The university was known as San Fernando Valley State College until 1969 when it was officially named California State University, Northridge. Fact 3: In 1994 the Northridge area was hit by a devastating 6.7-magnitude earthquake. Fortunately, the school had no fatalities but sustained over $400 million in damages to buildings and infrastructure.

 

  • Those interested in participating in Highland HS Baseball, please show up Thursday 11-2-23 after school at the Varsity Baseball Field for a meeting.

 

  • Did you just finish a fall sport? Do you have what it takes to be a Highland Wrestler? If so, there is still time to come join the boys and girls wrestling team. Practice times are 4:15pm-6:30pm in the wrestling room (W2), across from MR. Valdez classroom (14J). 

 

  • Art Club will have its next meeting on Wed. Nov. 1stat lunch in 8A.
