Announcements:

• Junior Class Council - There will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday September 17^thduring lunch in room 15A.  Bring your lunch.  We will be discussing homecoming and this year's activities.  All council members are expected to attend.

• All sophomores and juniors - it's not too late to jumpstart your future by taking the PSAT.  Go to the finance office today, tomorrow, or Wednesday to sign up.  Cost is $18 or free if you are a qualifying junior.  Space is limited so reserve yours today!

• Are you a Sophomore, Junior or Senior and still figuring out your future? Can’t decide on a college major? Don’t know what career to pursue? Then the ASVAB Career Exploration Program test is for you! If you are interested in taking the ASVAB test, please see Mrs. Verde in the Career Center located in the library to sign up.

• Did you hear it?  The thud, thud?  That's right - the gavel has dropped, and the Mock Trial season is upon us!  And it's a murder most foul.  Come to the first Mock Trial meeting of the season this Thursday during lunch in room 4G.  We will discuss the case, the try-out process, and the roles for this season.  See you then!

• Scots! The Student Store is selling Slushies for $3.00.  We are also selling Pizza on Tuesdays for $3.00 a slice.

• Seniors!  If you have not taken your free senior yearbook picture yet, please be sure to schedule an appointment with Carlos Murillo photography as soon as possible 661-332-4170. Only pictures from Carlos Murillo will be used in the yearbook. The deadline is coming soon!

Club News:

• Boys Soccer Conditioning will begin on Tuesday, September 12^th from 6:15-7:45 am. Be sure you submit your physical on SportsNet, so you are cleared to participate. See Coach Clif in 5H if you have questions.

• REMINDER! Girls Soccer pre-conditioning starts Monday 9/11 from 6:00am-7:15am. Please bring your cleats, running shoes, and water. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Winans in 7A!

• Esports is still here at Highland! If you’re planning on joining the team this year, come by 11D during lunch today or next week on Monday. Look for Mr. Zavala to get the details!

• Hey Scots! GSA will have its first meeting Tuesday 9/12. All are welcome. Meet in Nelson's room 4PF during lunch.
