Announcements:
- If you missed school pictures last week, we will be having a picture make up day October 5th. Seniors - Carlos Murillo Photography will be on campus this week for senior yearbook pictures if you haven't taken your picture with him yet.
- Scots - Do you want to get into athletic events for free such as football and volleyball? Come by the Finance office before school, after school or at lunch to buy an ASB sticker! Stickers are $25 and get you into ALL Kern High athletic events for FREE and get you discounts on campus. You MUST pick up your ID from the library first to get your sticker put on your ID. If you are a 9thgrader and bought the bundle last spring, be sure to go by the library to ger you ID!
- Freshmen!! Are you interested in being part of student leadership at Highland High School? Do you want to make a difference for your 9thgrade class? 9th grade class council is for you! I If you would like to run for class president, vice president, secretary or treasurer please complete the following application.
- Freshmen and Sophomores! If you haven't purchased your PE uniform yet, come by the Student Store at lunch! We have a back-to-school sale on uniforms right now until next Friday! Uniform sets are now $25! Don't miss out on this deal!!
- Are you hungry?! The Student Store is open every day during lunch! Come by to get some chips, Gatorade, water, cookies, and much more! You can also buy Highland Gear!! We are located next to the cafeteria.
Club News:
- Ladies and Gentlemen, are you interested in wrestling? If so, we will be having wrestling meeting this Thursday at lunch time in the wrestling portable (W2). It is encouraged to attend if you are playing a fall sport
- Hey Scots! Newspaper Club is having its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, August 23rdat lunch in 8A. Grab your food and come on in! We'll be discussing club events and positions for the year. See you then!
- All students interested in joining the Highland Cross Country Program are still welcome to be a part of our team this Fall. It’s not too late, but we need to get you started as soon as possible.
- Please stop by and visit Coach Dawson in Building 2, classroom C for all information. Remember, it’s not too late and we would love to add new members to our team. Everyone competes in our sport, so don’t hesitate to be a part of something positive and special.
