Announcements:

 

  • Hey Hey Scots! Its Spring Fest Week and Thursday is “No Place Like Home” so Dress as either a “Home Depot Dad” or a “Soccer Mom”

 

  • Juniors and Seniors - Prom bids are now on sale! This year’s theme is “A Night in Wonderland.”  To buy a bid in April… YOU MUST HAVE ALL DEBT CLEARED and be an upperclassman! Have a signed guest permission slip (already filled out and approved by the dean’s office) ready to present to the finance office. An underclassman must be the guest of an upperclassman and will be able to receive/purchase bids from May 1st through the 11th. All of these items must be done BEFORE you can purchase your ticket. The dates and prices for the prom bids are as follows: 4/17 - 4/28: $55 w/ ASB sticker and $60 without.  5/1 - 5/11: $65 w/ASB sticker $70 without. Prom will be from 730pm-1030pm at World Records on 2815 F Street. Snacks and munchies will be served during the evening!

 

  • Last Chance to Vote! Who will get the extra 10 Seconds? Voting for your favorite round two sixty seconds contestant closes today, use the QR code in the announcements or around campus and in contestant’s classes. Also, you can go to vote.sixtyseconds.site/round two results will be posted on Instagram tomorrow! @sixtyseconds_show

 

  • Got news?! We do! Check out and read articles from our very own student-run newspaper on hhs-news.comor by following @ hhscotsnews on Instagram. This week we published articles on the Green and Clean Club to celebrate Earth Day and Varsity Tennis, check them out now! 

 

  • Juniors & Seniors: If you get an overdue notice, please return your late books to the library, and pay your fines in the Finance Office! You must be debt-free before you can buy a Prom bid!

 

  • Attention Scots! Our annual 3v3 basketball tournament will be next Tuesday, April 25th. You may have an additional backup player as a substitute for free. Each player will need to pay $5 in the finance office and pick up a permission slip from Mr. Valdez in 14J. Receipts and permission slips are due Monday, April 24th. We hope to see you there, spectators are free!

 

  • Scots - There will be a food sale this Thursday down at the outdoor basketball courts! Come down to get some pizza, twisted potatoes, churros, chicken strips and fires, chick-fil-a, breakfast burritos and much more!  Come get your grub on!

 

  • AP Students – AP exams start in 2 weeks.  Check with your AP teacher for your room assignment.  Remember, if your test starts at 8 am you need have arranged your own transportation in order to be here by 7:45 to get checked into the room.  Start reviewing now – those tests will be here before you know it!

 

 

 

Club News:

 

  • Attention all Freshmen: Our free movie night will take place this Thursday, April 20th. Free popcorn and snow cones will be available for Freshmen. We will also be selling drinks and candy! Freshmen and Link Leaders are free -- but you can bring 1 extra person not from these groups for $1 if they are from Highland. The front gate by the front office will be open and bring your IDs for faster entry! Hope to see you there!
