Announcements:

 

  • Hey Scots! It’s Spring Fest week - "Wizard of Scots"!  Tomorrow is Twister Tuesday. Your backpack got swept away by the infamous twister tornado so bring anything but a backpack. No motorized items or shopping carts will be allowed on campus.

 

  • Prom bids are almost on sale! Bids will go on sale on April 17th. To buy a bid in April you MUST HAVE ALL DEBT CLEARED and be an upperclassman! Underclassmen must be a guest of upperclassmen and will be able to receive bids from May 1st through the 11th. Here are the dates and prices for formal bids: 4/17 - 4/28: $55 w/ ASB sticker and $60 without. 5/1 - 5/11: $65 w/ASB sticker $70 without. Guest permission slips will be found in the Activities office. Stay tuned for more exciting information about Prom!

  • Scots - If you are planning on taking a NON-Highland student to prom, please pick up a GUEST PERMISSION SLIP form in the Activities/Athletics Office.  This must be turned into the Dean's Office for approval first and then take to the Finance Office to purchase your ticket.

  • Good morning, Scots!  It’s time for AVID’s College of the Week. This week our school UC Santa Barbara!! Fact 1: UCSB offers a dynamic environment that prizes academic inquiry and interpersonal connection to inspire scholarly ambition, creativity, and discoveries with wide-ranging impact. Fact 2:  UCSB ranks among higher-education leaders in the U.S and Canada as one of only 62 research-intensive institutions elected to membership in the prestigious Association of American Universities Fact 3: UCSB marine scientists played a key role in developing the Ocean in Google Earth, which enables users to dive beneath the sea in Marine Protected Areas worldwide. Congratulations to AVID seniors Andrew Meza, Gabrielle Romero, and Grecia Moncada Perez for being accepted to UCSB!
