Announcements:

 

  • Juniors - SBAC testing is starting on Tuesday. Please check with your first period teacher to see what class you need to report to for testing. On Tuesday you will go directly to that class instead of going to your first period. Don’t Stress, Just Do Your Best!!!

 

  • Hey Super Scots! It is that time of year again! Highland's spring musical, The Addams Family, opens tonight at 7pm in the WAH! Performances play tonight and tomorrow at 7pm, and Saturday at 2pm and 7pm! Doors open 30 minutes before show time. Tickets are available at the door for $10. Join us for a kooky and spooky time! For more information, see Mr. Thompson in room 8C!

 

  • SCOTS! It’s Salad Dressing spirit week! Friday is GREEN GODDESS DRESSING! St. Patrick’s Day and School spirit all in one day! Wear your favorite green clothes. 

 

 

  • Calling all students! We want YOU for ASB. It’s the time of year to elect our new officials and positions. If you are interested in this opportunity and would like to be a part of our ASB, please use the QR code that is posted on the walls around school. Club News:

 

  • Kathryn Ready competed at the Kern County Regional Science Fair this past Tuesday, March 14. Kathryn placed first place in Computational Systems & Analysis/Mathematical Sciences division, and she will be representing Highland and Kern County at the California State Science Fair on April 11. Also, Kathryn is the alternate for the International Science and Engineering Fair. If you do see Kathryn around campus, go and congratulate her on all her hard work.

 

  • Congratulations to the AVID Class of 2023 who have surpassed $1 million dollars in scholarships to which they have applied!  Special recognition to Kendra Rutledge, Andrew Meza, Yerizel Garcilazo, Mia Botello, and Teresa Bangert who have each applied to over $100,000.  We love your hard work and dedication!
