Club News:

  • Good morning, Scots!  It’s time for AVID’s College of the Week. Cal Poly Humboldt State University.  Here are some facts about Humboldt:
  • Fact 1: The classes are small, meaning students are being taught by professors who know them by name. They also live and learn in one of the world's most beautiful places—near ancient redwood forests, mountains, and beaches.
  • Fact 2: It is the only university in California to offer a degree in rangeland resources and              wildland soil science.
  • Fact 3: The acceptance rate is 91.5%.
  • Congratulations to AVID Senior Nathaniel Lozano for being accepted into Cal Poly Humboldt!

  • PODER Reminder: Don’t forget to drop off your UCLA permission slip for this Thursday! You can drop it off in 7C or 3G.

  • Good morning, Scots!  Do you love working on cars?  Do you want a career path that doesn't involve a 4-year college degree?  On Friday March 3rd during 4thperiod, the Highland AVID program's Community Voices is pleased to welcome Mr. Manuel Aguilar from Trends Auto Collision to speak to you about his multi-million-dollar business and his path to success.  Sign up today in the College and Career!
