Announcements:

• Attention Scots! Formal tickets will go on sale Monday 12-19-22 online at graystep.com. You can pick-up a permission slip in the ASB office and return the completed slip into the dean’s office.

• Are you ready for the holiday season? Red cross is having a toy drive from December 12th- December 20th. Any toy donations gently used, new, and boxes to put the toys in will be accepted. All the toys will be taken to the Jameson Center. There will be donation boxes in Ms. Martinez's class, room 14b, Mr. Matthew's class 3f, Ms. Boyers class 7a, and in the library.

Club News:

• Scots, those of you who want to be a part of the track and field team, stop by Coach Cueto’s room, 6E, any time Friday for information about the upcoming season.

• Swim: We will be having a meeting for the swim team on Friday (December 16th) after school. Come to Coach Prasser’s classroom (Room 4PI) immediately after school is out. We can’t wait to see you! 

• ATTENTION FRESHMEN: Link Crew will be hosting an event called Cocoa, Cookies, & Cram where you can study for all of your finals! You will also be able to enjoy Cookies and Hot Cocoa with marshmallows, candy canes and more! Every student will also receive a goodie bag and a chance to win some prizes! The event will take place next Tuesday, December 20^thafter school in the GYM from 4 - 5:30pm. Please Contact Mr. Valdez in 14J or at [email protected] with any questions. We hope to see you there!

• Good morning, Scots!  It’s time for AVID’s College of the Week.  This week our school is Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Fact #1 - MIT has 800 companies collaborating on faculty and student research. Fact #2 - The campus has 19 student residence halls. Fact #3 - MIT has about 33,000 applicants for first year admission (class of 2025) but only 1,365 admits
