Announcements:

• Calling all softball players. Signups for preconditioning has begun Stop by 7K to scan the QR code or the athletics office door.  All information for the upcoming season will be delivered to those that sign up. 

• Hey Scots! Did you get an overdue notice in your English class? Then come to the library to turn in your books! Thanks, and see you soon...

• Due to the event happening on 11/9/22 in the library.  The After School Tutoring will be canceled today and will resume tomorrow.

• Well folks, the event you’ve been waiting for is finally here. Thursday night 6 PM in the WAH the lip-sync battle will commence. Doors will open at 5:30 you will not want to be late. admission is free come see who takes home the trophy ASB, FFA, drama? We will see you there!

• Congratulations to Lianna Guerra and Alejandro Garza. They will be signing their college letters of intent on Wednesday, 11-9-22 in the library after school. Please come, bye and congratulate these two great athletes. Lianna for Track & Field and Alejandro for Baseball. Both are going to sign for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Mustangs.

• Scots! Sadie’s is next week! If you need help with a proposal - ASB has your back!  If you need a poster made, come by the Activities/Athletics office to pick up an order form!

• Scots! Formal bids go on sale in December!  You MUST be clear of ALL debt and have a current HHS ID.  Please start working on those things!!  

• Do you want to get into a winter sports competition for free? Be sure to buy your ASB sticker at the Finance Office for $25.  ASB stickers get you into all KHSD athletic events for FREE (except playoffs) and get you discounts on things like dances and merchandise.

Club News:

• Highland's Black Student Union or BSU will meet TODAY, November 9, during both lunches! Grab your lunches and come on down to room 16E. We have info to share about upcoming community service and field trips.  Highland's BSU is open to everyone, so if you'd like to find out more about what we do...don't hesitate to join us🙂We look forward to seeing you!!

• It's official:  Overwatch practice & TRYOUTS begins Monday, November 14^thafter school.  If you plan on representing Highland this year stop by 7H to get more information. 

• Class of 23 T-shirts, hoodies and crewnecks are now on sale at the finance office.  Sale ends after 5^thlunch on Friday November 19^th

• Good morning, Scots! It’s time for AVID’s college of the week. This week our school is The University of California, Santa Cruz.                                                                                                                                Fact 1: As of 2022, for incoming freshmen, UC Santa Cruz has an acceptance rate of 47%                     Fact 2: One of UC Santa Cruz's main goals is to conserve as much water as they can.                            Fact 3: UC Santa Cruz's colors are navy and gold.

• This Wednesday, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be meeting again. FCA meets in room 5K for first lunch, and 5L for second lunch. Don’t miss this week’s discussion, plus information about our breakfast Thursday morning. This one meeting could help re-energize you before the upcoming weeks. Don’t miss your chance!
