Announcements:

• Girls’ soccer will begin conditioning Monday Oct 24^th from 4:30 to 6pm. Soccer cleats are required.

• Girls’ basketball tryouts will be on October 25, 26, and 27th from 4:30-6:30. Anyone and is welcome to come and try out! Make sure that you get your athletic packet completed before then. You can contact Ms. Wold with any questions"

• Boys' Basketball Tryouts will start Mon Oct. 24 for all levels. Check with either Coach Valdez or Coach Smith for times.

Club News:

• PODER girls, please stop by 7C during lunch to drop-off CSUB permission slips and to go over fieldtrip details

• ATTENTION ALL FRESHMEN! Link Crew will be hosting a FREE outdoor Movie Night on Wednesday, October 19th. You will need your freshman ID and the outdoor event will take place on the grass area in front of the finance office. There will be FREE popcorn. Students should bring their own drink and a chair/blanket. There will also be pumpkins available to paint and take home!

• Math Club will be offering tutoring for all math courses this week Tuesday and Thursday after school in room 14B.

• Attention All Christian Athletes … come join us this Wednesday for another great topic of the season. During FCA meetings we are able to support each other through the trials we all face in life with relatable scriptures to help us to the next chapter. Our talks are centered around competition, teenage struggles, and how to rely on our faith to get us through the day … but the good news is it is open to anyone interested in hearing more. Meet in room 5K for Freshman & Sophomore lunch, and 5L for Junior & Senior lunch. We’re excited for what this year’s going to do for our Highland FCA group! Come be a part of it.

• Hey Scots, are you ready for the best event of the school year? Pay attention as the event of the year is about to descend upon you. That’s right! The most epic of battles, the struggle of all struggles, an arduous event and test of true grit and determination….. Lip Sync Battle. Do you have what it takes, to take home the coveted Milli-Vanilli trophy? Then grab your friends, club, team, or crew and show us what you’ve got. Signups will be held THIS WEEK, sign up during both 4th and 5th lunch on October 18th through the 20th in front of the WAH. This year’s theme is 70s and 80s, you will need to sign up with who is in your group and who is the point of contact.  Not that it is needed, but FFA will call you out right here right now….. ASB & Drama prepare to not win
