49ers Free Safety D.J. Reed is a Bakersfield native that graduated from Independence High School. Reed, who was originally told that he was not good enough to play college ball, eventually went on to play for Cerritos College and Kansas State prior to entering the NFL. DJ is a testament to the ideal that hard work pays off. Where will your hard work land you?
