Announcements:

 

  • Scots! Don’t miss out, we are down to our last 50 yearbooks.  Get yours before they sell out.

 

  • Seniors - Cap and gowns will be distributed April 29that lunch by the Finance Office.  You will need your ID to pick up your cap and gown. If you are absent that day, they may be picked up before school, lunch or after school with an ID in the Activities Office. If you have NOT ordered your cap and gown yet, you will need to go down to the Jostens Office to buy one.  

 

  • If you ran for an ASB appointed position, the results are now posted on the Activities Office door. Congrats to next year's ASB and thank you to everyone who applied!  This year's applicants were one of the strongest groups we have had and made for difficult decisions!

 

  • Are ya ready, Scots?! We are just 1 day away from opening Kern High School District's premiere of The SpongeBob Musical! Opening this tomorrow in the WAH! The show plays Fridays and Saturday, April 12th, 13th, 19th and 20th, at 7pm. General admission is $15 and $10 for students with an ASB sticker and children under 12 years old. This production is sure to be a hit, so join SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and all your favorite characters as they attempt to save Bikini Bottom from disaster! And if you've ever wanted to see Ms. Lady in a play, this is your chance! See you then!

 

  • Scots!  Are you interested in leading your entire class next year? Do you want to help plan activities for your grade?  Class Council applications will be available in the Activities Office starting Monday 4/15.  Class Council is open to all current 9th, 10th, and 11th Positions available are: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Pub Chair and are due April 29th by 4:00pm.  If you have any questions, please see MBS in the Activities Office!

 

  • Attention Seniors:  Kern Community Foundation will accept all scholarship applications even if students have not received their Student Aid Index (SAI) from FAFSA. However, applicants must still upload a screenshot showing that their FAFSA application is either "In Process" or "In Review" in the FAFSA upload section. In addition to this change, all applicants are required to submit the following documents to complete their application:  A copy of their current transcript including their GPA, a screenshot of their FAFSA status or SAI (Student Aid Index) 2024-2025, personal essay and a letter of recommendation. The deadline for scholarship applications remains April 14, 2024.
