Announcements:

• Congressman David Valadao will host a Service Academy Information Night tonight Wednesday April 3^rd from 6:00-8:00pm at Hanford West High School. This event is recommended for high school students who are interested in attending a military Service Academy. • Are ya ready, Scots?! Next week, Highland travels to Bikini Bottom with our spring production, The SpongeBob Musical! The show opens next Friday in the WAH. The show plays Fridays and Saturday, April 12th, 13th, 19th, and 20th, at 7pm. General admission is $15 and $10 for students with an ASB sticker and children under 12 years old. This production is a Kern High School District premiere and is sure to be a hit! So, join SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and all your favorite characters as they attempt to save Bikini Bottom from disaster! You may even see a cameo from one of Highland's favorite security guards! See you then!

• Juniors and Seniors:  Prom bids go on sale next Monday for $50 with ASB and $55 without.  You must have all your debt cleared! If you are bringing a non-Highland student, you must pick up a permission slip in the Activities Office and return to the Dean's Office.  The last day to purchase tickets is April 25^th at lunch

• Seniors:  As of April 1st, only cash or credit card payments will be accepted in the Finance Office.  Thank you for your understanding.  

• Scots!  Today is our ASB Elections for next year's leadership! Be sure to vote today after your 2^ndperiod teacher shows you today's Scots Weekly that includes candidate statements and select the best candidate for the job. Club News:

• Good morning, Scots! It's time for AVID’s college of the week. This week our school is University of California, Davis! UC Davis is top-ranked in veterinary science, agriculture, and forestry.  Also, according to the Wall Street Journal, UC Davis is the 5th best public university in the United States. Congratulations to AVID seniors Taylor Gonzales, Victoria Cisneros, and Vanessa Villanueva for all being accepted to Davis!
