Announcements:

            

  • Hey Scots! Easter Grams are on sale for $2 this week in front of the finance office. Last day to buy one is this Friday!

 

  • Juniors and Seniors - If you are planning to attend prom next month, please start clearing your debt! This includes returning uniforms and old textbooks or library books! Not sure if you owe debt? Check with the library or the Finance Office!

 

  • Hey Scots, if you haven’t bought a yearbook yet, don’t miss out.  Less than 100 copies are left.  Preorder yours today online or in the finance office for $95.  If you have questions, see Ms. Smith in 3E.

 

  • Wellness Wednesday Tip: Did you know Laughter is good for your health? Laughter relaxes the whole body, boosts the immune system, triggers the release of endorphins, protects the heart, burns calories, laughter lightens anger and laughter may even help you live longer! Six-year-olds laugh an average of 300 times a day. Adults only laugh 15-100 times a day. Be six again. 

 

  • Scots!  If you are interested in being part of Student Leadership next year, sign up for ASB! Applications are available in the Activities Office and are due on March 19th!  Class Council application will be out in April.  

 

  • Staff and Students - ASB is hosting another hygiene and clothing drive for our unhoused youth.  If you have any hygiene products like toothbrushes, shampoo, deodorant or new/gently used clothing that you would like to donate = please stop by the Activities Office to drop off.   You can also bring on Wednesday to get tape for our Tape A Teacher fundraiser!  All items will be donated to the Dream Center which helps our Bakersfield youth

 

 

Club News:

 

  • Boys Soccer Awards will take place tonight at 6 pm in the library. All players from this past season are encouraged to attend.

 

  • Good morning, Scots! It’s time for AVID’s college of the week. This week our school is UC Merced, home of the bobcats. UC Merced is a small private campus located in the city with a rural setting, UC Merced has outstanding programs and holds a huge commitment towards environmental stability. Congratulations to AVID senior Victoria Cisneros for being accepted to UC Merced!
