  • Hey Scots! Let’s help support kerns unhoused youth.November 8th-17th . We are looking for donation of new or like new name brand adult size shoes and jackets, new hairbrushes and combs, New and unopened toiletries, and Teen friendly menstrual products to donate to the unhoused youth. You can drop off all donations in the activities and athletics office. 

 

  • Our Fall Food Sale is happening this Thursday 11/9 and the FAST PASS is back! For only 5 PLAID Points you can purchase a fast pass to leave your third period 5 minutes early and be one of the first in line! After purchasing through student view, please come to the athletics/activities office to pick up your pass. If you do not pick up your pass by 11/8, your points will be returned back to you. NO PASSES WILL BE GIVEN OUT 11/9. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Winans in the activities/athletics office during lunch.

 

  • Scots! 2Bs and 3 or more Ds? Find yourself losing privileges because those quarter grades are below C level? Not to worry. After school tutoring has you covered. Get help in your courses or just enjoy a quiet place to study. Teachers are available to help you bring those grades up. Tutoring runs Tuesday-Thursday from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the library. Transportation is available at 5:30 p.m. We provide tutoring in English, Science, and Social Studies on Tuesday; math, social studies, science, health, and government on Wednesday; and English, Ag, Bio, Earth Science, Government/Econ, and math on Thursday. We also provide a Spanish speaking tutor Tuesday-Thursday.

  • FCA or Fellowship of Christian Athletes meet’s each Wednesday during lunch in 6F.   Please join us and bring your lunch, everyone is invited to attend.

 

  • Good morning, Scots! It’s time for AVID’s college of the week. This week our school is California State University Channel Islands. Fun Fact 1: California State University Channel Islands has a very diverse student population with 55% Hispanic, 25% Caucasian, and 7% Asian. Fun Fact 2: The University was recognized as a  “Great College to Work For” by The Chronicle of Higher Education in 2010. Fun Fact 3: Cal State Channel Islands acceptance rate is 93% with popular majors such as Psychology, Business, and Health Service Preparatory Studies
