Announcements:
- Hey Scots! Who have YOU caught being kind? Next week, you'll have the opportunity to nominate a student or staff member who has made a positive difference. Simply scan one of the Caught Being KIND! QR codes that will be around campus, tell us who you're recognizing, and share what they did. ASB will be selecting nominees for special recognition throughout the week!
- Scots! ASB is hosting a food sale today, Thursday, November 5! Stop by, grab something delicious, and show your support for Highland programs. It's a win-win—support our school while satisfying your hunger!
- AP Students - if you paid for a test and are not in the AP Classroom for that test, you need to do so posthaste! Your test will NOT be ordered unless you are in the AP Classroom. Talk to your AP teacher today for the code. The lists have been updated so look in your AP Classroom to see if a test has been ordered for you.
- Mock Trial - Hear ye, Hear ye! To all Mock Trial students. There will be a meeting on Friday at lunch in room 4G. There are some important dates and other assorted information to be discussed. So, grab your lunch and come to room 4G on Friday!
- Hey Scots! Do you want to have a voice on campus? Are there things you want to see improved around our school? Do you have any solutions to these concerns you want to share? Sign up for our November PLUS Forum where you can voice your concerns and work to find solutions. Look for the posters and QR codes around campus or on the PLUS Insta @highland_plus to sign up and get a free shirt! Students may only do one forum a year.
- Scots - Do you have PLAID tokens you don't know what to do with? You can either turn them into your teachers so they can long in Synergy OR come by 4I before school, lunch or after school to redeem. The PLAID store will be restocked soon, so be sure to check it out!
- ROC and CTEC field trip permission slips may be picked up in the counseling office: BEFORE SCHOOL, at LUNCH, and AFTER SCHOOL only. They are due by Tuesday November 17that 4pm no exceptions. Students must have applied to ROC/CTEC to go on the field trip go to roc.kernhigh.org to apply! Questions, see Ms. Barrick BEFORE SCHOOL, at LUNCH, and AFTER SCHOOL.
- Are you applying to private colleges, out of state schools, or using the common app? Sign up with Ms. Barrick for a workshop to help you.... You can go by 2A to sign up or email Ms. Barick
- Scots! The next Art Club meeting will be today at lunch in 8A.
- Do you love reading and love competing but just can't find the right place to do both? Look no further than Battle of the Books! We're looking for some well-read competitors to form a team. Teams will read pre-selected books and compete in trivia-style tournaments to test their knowledge of plots, characters, and authors. If you'd love to learn more, join Ms. Nelson and Mrs. Montanio in the library at lunch on Friday, November 6th. All readers are welcome! Grab a book and get some reading swag!
