Kindness doesn't have to be a grand gesture! Holding the door, helping a classmate, checking on a friend, or offering encouragement can make a difference. Next week, ASB wants to hear about the kindness happening around Highland! Look for Caught Being KIND! QR codes in classrooms and around campus starting next week.

ROC and CTEC field trip permission slips may be picked up in the counseling office: BEFORE SCHOOL, at LUNCH, and AFTER SCHOOL only. They are due by Tuesday November 17^that 4pm no exceptions. Students must have applied to ROC/CTEC to go on the field trip go to roc.kernhigh.org to apply! Questions, see Ms. Barrick BEFORE SCHOOL, at LUNCH, and AFTER SCHOOL.

AP Students - If you have paid for an AP test, check your College Board account today to make sure that your test has been purchased. Under the heading "Order Exam" it should say "yes" if you purchased a test and "no" if you did not. If you purchased a test and it still says "no" under order exam, come see Mrs. Procell in room 4G - that's the only way to rectify the situation. Don't delay, check it today!

Do you love reading and love competing but just can't find the right place to do both? Look no further than Battle of the Books! We're looking for some well-read competitors to form a team. Teams will read pre-selected books and compete in trivia-style tournaments to test their knowledge of plots, characters, and authors. If you'd love to learn more, join Ms. Nelson and Mrs. Montanio in the library at lunch on Friday, November 6th. All readers are welcome! Grab a book and get some reading swag!
