Announcements:

• Scots! The next Art Club meeting will be on Thursday at lunch in 8A.

• AP Students - If you have paid for an AP test, check your College Board account today to make sure that your test has been purchased.  Under the heading "Order Exam" it should say "yes" if you purchased a test and "no" if you did not.  If you purchased a test and it still says "no" under order exam, come see Mrs. Procell in room 4G - that's the only way to rectify the situation.  Don't delay, check it today!

• Do you love reading and love competing but just can't find the right place to do both? Look no further than Battle of the Books! We're looking for some well-read competitors to form a team. Teams will read pre-selected books and compete in trivia-style tournaments to test their knowledge of plots, characters, and authors. If you'd love to learn more, join Ms. Nelson and Mrs. Montanio in the library at lunch on Friday, November 6th. All readers are welcome! Grab a book and get some reading swag!

• Hey Scots! November is all about giving thanks, and ASB wants to know what YOU are thankful for! Throughout the month of November, ASB will be set up outside the Activities Office, ready for you to stop by and write down who or what you're thankful for! Your messages will be added to our Highland Thankful Tree, displayed on the Activities Office windows all month long. Whether it's a friend, family member, teacher, or simply something that makes your day a little brighter, we want to hear about it! Stop by, share a little gratitude, and help us fill our tree with everything Highland has to be thankful for!

• Basketball Tryouts have officially started! If you are finishing up a Fall Sport you are expected to show up starting Today, Monday November 2nd. Tryouts will be from 3-6pm on Monday and 6:30 - 9pm on Tuesday. Please see Coach Valdez ([email protected]) or Coach Vizcarra ([email protected]) if you have any questions.
