- Congratulations to our newly elected Class of 2030 officers! President: Alexander Rodriguez Secretary: Analee Elizalde, Treasurer: Bella Reyes, Vice President is headed to a runoff! There will be a runoff election between Joslynn Navarrette and Aaron Castro this WEDNESDAY! Freshmen, please look out for the voting link on ParentSquare and the QR code in your freshman English classes. Make sure you use your voice and vote!
- Hey seniors! Come by Mrs. Lindsey's room in 6D today at lunch to help choose and give feedback on senior T-shirt designs.
- Are you interested in joining the Teen Deaf Club and are currently taking an ASL class? Come hang out, meet Deaf peers, make new friends, and practice your ASL skills in a fun and welcoming environment. If you’re still interested in learning ASL, we’d love to have you join us! Come join TDC and let’s have fun together! Teen Deaf Club meets every other Tuesday during lunch. Where? In room 4K (Ms. Garza’s) classroom. Our meeting is today, September 1st. - Scots, if you signed up for the Career Launch Program with the Boys and Girls Club, Orientation will be held this week on Thursday September 3rd at 8:15am. If you are still interested in participating, please show up to orientation.
- Attention Freshmen! Link Crew will be hosting our annual Freshman Tailgate on Wednesday, 9/02 starting at 4:45pm in the football stadium. We will be having music, games and activities, surprise raffles and activities, free meals with drink, free snow cones, and a student section! We hope to see you there for our first big event of the year! It is completely free to attend. No backpacks will be allowed in or allowed to be left outside the stadium.
- Scholarly Scots, after school tutoring begins on Tuesday, September 1stin the library after school until 5:30 p.m. Come get help in your classes. Tuesday, come get help in math, science, history, and English. Wednesday, we have our government, science and math teachers available. Thursdays, we will offer social studies and math. A bus runs at 5:30 p.m. outside the library. Don't fall behind in your classes! Join us for after school tutoring in the library, Tuesday-Thursday, this semester!
- Interested in science, engineering, experiments, or just figuring out how things work? Join us for a STEM Club meeting in room 12B at lunch on Wednesday and after school Thursday to participate in hands-on activities like STEM challenges, and the opportunity to design your own science fair experiment. No experience is necessary, just bring your curiosity!
- Highland Debaters, join us for a Highland Debate Club meeting on Wednesday, September 2, during lunch in room 4G. Grab your lunch and join us for discussion and debate.
- Scots! IF you have purchased coupons for the Thrift Store with your PLAID points, you can redeem them electronically at the Thrift Store this year! If you have coupons for the Thrift Store from last year, they will still be honored at the store. To redeem your PLAID points, all you have to do is go on StudentVue, click on MTSS and choose your items you would like to purchase! PLAID up Scots!
