Announcements:

 

  • Today is Women’s Equality Day, commemorating the certification of the 19th Amendment, which prohibited denying the right to vote based on gender. Today we recognize the contributions of women throughout our country.

 

  • Students - Your safety is our top priority, so please be aware of the following if you attend the football game at Stockdale High School this week.  No bags/backpacks will be allowed inside the stadium, and spectators will be expected to remain in the stands unless using the restroom or accessing the snack bar. 

 

  • If you're interested in improving your debate skills and public speaking, join us in 4G (Mrs. Procell's classroom) at lunch for a kickoff and informational meeting. Hope to see you there! 

 

  • Juniors - Mark your calendars!  The PSAT will be offered at Highland on Tuesday, October 13th.  The finance office will open for the $10 payment to register for this test after Labor Day.  Talk to your counselors for more information about this test.

 

  • Seniors - Highland is offering the SAT during school on Tuesday, October 20th.  The $33 registration payment can be made at the finance office after Labor Day.  This test has no free/reduced fee; however, the test on Saturday, November 7thdoes offer a free/reduced waiver.  See Ms. Yubeta in the Career Center for more information.

 

  • Hey Scots! Auditions for The Lightning Thief continue today with dancing auditions from 4-6:30pmafter school in the WAH, and acting auditions tomorrow August 27th from 4-6:30pm in room 8C! If you missed yesterday, come today anyway! This is your chance to shine and be a part of one of the best theatre programs in the district! See Mr. Thompson in room 8C for more information!

 

  • We’re excited to welcome all freshman boys and girls to join the Cross-Country program this season. If you’re ready to work hard and bring dedication, you belong here—no matter your experience level. Spots are open now and will close on Friday, September 4th. Have questions? Stop by and see Coach Dawson (Room 2C) or Coach Sweet in the counseling office. We’d love to hear from you!

 

  • Interested in science, engineering, experiments, or just figuring out how things work? Join us for the first STEM Club meeting at lunch on today in Room 12B to learn about hands-on activities, scientific exploration, and the opportunity to design your own science fair experiment. No experience is necessary, just bring your curiosity
