Announcements:

  • Juniors and Seniors! Are you interested in being a teacher?  Do you want to work at an Elementary school or a High School? Do you want to make a difference in a student's lives?  Sign up for the Introduction to Teaching class when you do preferencing with your counselors!  This fun and engaging class introduces the ins and outs of teaching and gives you an opportunity to see if teaching is for you! If you have questions, stop by and see Ms. Barber-Smith in 3A or the Activities Office.

  • SENIORS! If you ordered a Senior T-shirt, they have arrived! Please see Mrs. Tatman in room 3E today at lunch to pick up your order.

  • Senior movie night is TONIGHT. Doors open at 630, movie starts around 715!" Bring your own SEALED waters and blankets. Dress in layers! Make sure to bring your current Highland Senior ID or Synergy page. Enter through the football field ticket booth doors. Doors will close at 745. There is no reentry. Please, no outside food or beverage, other than your sealed water. We can't wait to see you!

  • Student Store will be selling slushies (BLUE-Raspberry & RED-Cherry), they will be $3.50. Especially with it warming up, come on and get a nice cool slushie.

  • AP Students - If you paid for an AP test, it's time to verify that everything is correct.  There are 2 ways to do this.  #1 - Check your college board account.  Each exam that you have paid for should be marked as yes.  OR #2 - ask your AP teacher.  Each teacher has a list of students for their test.  Any discrepancies need to be brought to the attention of Mrs. Procell in 4G as soon as possible.  This is the last week to verify that everything is accurate, and then it's testing time!  Room assignments will be distributed after Spring Break.

  • Ever wondered how apps, games, and AI actually work? In AP Computer Science Principles, you’ll learn how to design and code your own apps while gaining skills that look amazing on college applications and can even earn you college credit. Current sophomores and juniors: when you register for next year’s classes, choose AP Computer Science Principles, or talk with your counselor to add it!
