Announcements:

 

  • Attention Class of 2026 seniors. It’s time to order your senior T-shirt. From January 26 through February 10, seniors only may go to the finance office to place their order. The cost is just five dollars. Don’t miss out on this chance to grab your Class of 2026 senior T-shirt and show your senior pride!

 

  • Hey Seniors! Yes you!  Jostens will be on campus Wednesday, January 28that lunch to take cap and gown orders.  This will be the last time they will be on campus taking orders. You can also order online at Jostens.com. 

 

  • Hey Seniors, do you need some help with scholarships? Come to the Kern Community Foundation Scholarship Workshop on 1/29/26 at 1pm in Room 2A.  You can do one application and enter for 25+ scholarships You need to register at: https://forms.gle/HJFrNkdfaKyLje4Q6 The link is in your Class of 2026 Counseling Canvas page or see Ms. Yubeta in Room 2A or s ee your counselor to get signed up for the workshop.  Signups must be done by 1/28/26.

 

  • Scots! Do you have trouble reading the board in class? Wear glasses, but they're scratched, broken, or have you outgrown them? We can get you free vision care, an eye exam, or frames, all you have to do is sign up! There are only 30 spots available. See your counselor or Mrs. Rodriguez in the front office to sign up. 

 

  • Are you interested in taking the ASVAB Test on 1/29/26 in the library? If so, please see Mrs. Yubeta in the College and Career Center (Room 2A) to get signed up. Thank You!

  • This Tuesday, January 27th, come to Room 7A for the Club America Meeting. We discuss freedom of speech, free markets, and limited government. Can't wait to see you!

 

  • Hey Scots! Get ready to step into the underworld and sing your way back to the light! Auditions for Hadestown, the Tony Award–winning musical, are coming next week. This powerful retelling of ancient Greek mythology blends folk, jazz, and blues with unforgettable storytelling—and we’re looking for bold performers to bring it to life onstage. Anyone and everyone are welcomed and encouraged to audition. Singing and Acting auditions will be Tuesday, February 3rd, Dancing auditions will be Wednesday, February 4th, and Callback auditions will be Thursday, February 5th. They will begin at 4pm after school. Please attend all 3 days. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or ready to take a leap, this is your chance to be part of an epic, ensemble-driven production. Come prepared, come curious, and come ready to tell this story. Come take the road, tell the story. The road to Hadestown starts here. See Mr. Thompson in room 8C for an audition information form.
